1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is classically styled with hidden modern upgrades. It is a well kept older restoration that has seen very few miles since complete frame-off restoration Finished in mint green & ivory. To increase the Bel Air's reliability and drive-ability, the old 265 V8 was removed and replaced with a Chevrolet 350 crate motor, with a new automatic turbo 350 transmission, rebuilt rear end, and new exhaust system. Original style valve covers and a rare "Batwing" air cleaner setup for the dual quad carburetors was added to keep a mid 50's vibe in the engine compartment. It has front disc brakes and like the engine this upgrade is hidden behind the original size wheels & hubcaps. At the same time the suspension was renewed with all new shocks, all new springs bushings. The car has been driven less than 1000 miles since all the improvements. This car's interior is beautifully restored to original specifications in greens & white with a new convertible top. All chrome is spectacular and the stainless steel was recently re-polished.
