The Tachdjian Family

If you are a classic car buff there is a local car collection you don't want to miss. Charlie and Elaine Tachdjian have opened their classic car collection to the public at 2542 N. Towne Avenue in Pomona (Arrow & Towne).

The Tachdjians' moved to La Verne in 2000 and built a Spanish Hacienda style home. They moved from Pasadena where they lived since the 1960's. Charlie is the former owner of Pasadena Datsun, Crown Oldsmobile, Pasadena Mazda, and Pasadena Dodge. Charlie has been a Board Member of the Tournament of Roses for 34 years.

Checkbook Charlie

Success has not been easy for the Tachdjian's. They have endured many hardships over the years. Charlie dropped out of school to work at this dad's wrecking yard, doing odd jobs, and working on a used car lot. He purchased his first dealership in Glendale in 1967. He continued to purchase additional dealerships until his retirement.

Since retirement Charlie has been collecting classic cars and hot rods as a hobby. The Tachdjian's invite everyone to visit the dealership and view their outstanding collection of classic cars and hot rods.
